Organic Broccoli Sprouts

    Broccoli Sprouts contain a highly concentrated source of sulforaphane. This compoud was identified in 1992 – sulforaphane helps the body’s natural cancer-fighting ability as well as reduces the risk of developing cancer. These tiny sprouts as opposed to a mature head of broccoli contain 20-50 times the amount of chemoprotective compounds  (which protect patients from the toxic effects of anticancer drugs).

Organic Alfalfa Sprouts

  • Alfalfa Sprouts have a mild nutty flavour and crunchy texture. Sprouts are vital for helping reduce stress damage to the body and keeping the nervous and neurological systems stable and strong.

    Alfalfa Sprouts  contain saponins, compounds which can bind to cholesterol and block its absorption. With respect to plaque, alfalfa has been studied for its ability to reduce plaque buildup on the insides of artery walls. Alfalfa also seems to have an ability to lower blood sugar levels.

    In traditional Chinese medicine, alfalfa has been used to treat gastrointestinal problems and coughs. In India alfalfa has been used to support digestion, treat water retention, and even arthritis. Native Americans used alfalfa to promote blood clotting and treat jaundice.
